Second Uprising [Video | Action]
[So someone, thanks to a combination of social anxiety, a comfortable place to stay with a person he feels safe with, and vague distrust of the journals, hasn't been very social recently.]
[But as much as he enjoys Chopin's company, and has perhaps even grown a little warmer towards Chopin's housemates if he's been persuaded to spend time with them, Poland has started to realize he might be here for a while, and, well... He's getting a little bored not talking to anyone. Time to give the journal a try!]
Hey! Um, a lot of you don't know me, and that's pretty sad, so I'm doing you a major solid and introducing myself! I'm like, Poland. It's good to meet you or whatever!
So, Advent started a couple days ago, and it's totally almost St. Nicholas's Day? I'm gonna make, like, a ton of pierniki, and I'm feeling super nice, so, you know, if anybody wants in, tell me.
Me and Fryderyk were talking about having a legit Christmas dinner and stuff, too, so I guess you could also let me know if you wanna come to that!
[He pauses, briefly awkward and uncomfortable as he fishes for something to say. After a moment, though, he brightens.]
Oh--so like, do you know any rad stories from your place or some junk? I totally wanna hear them!
[ACTION - OPEN, in town, around the shops]
[Alternatively, you could run into him in town! Chopin's, like, 40, which he is pretty sure is like, ancient in human years (Feliks may have a somewhat loose grasp on how being human works at times), so he's out shopping for groceries on his own. And when that's done, he'll be making a stop at the clothes store to see if they have anything good.]
[He might even work up the courage to look at some of the dresses, if he thinks no one is around. If they do catch him, he can just say they're for a friend, right?]
[ACTION - CLOSED - Chopin's room]
[And later still, he's back in Chopin's room, where he's been crashing since he showed up here. Chopin is off with his compositions, as far as he's aware, and he's taking advantage of the moment of privacy to admire his new find in the mirror.]
[His dress-up hobby has been stubbornly ignored for the last couple of months--it's a small village, AND he's sharing someone's room, there's just too much chance of getting caught. But again... He's bored. And the dress he found is just too cute, ok?]
[By modern standards, it's actually quite modest, floor-length with a loose skirt. The short sleeves, tight bodice, and hint of pale underskirt are wonderfully risqué for a 19th century boy, though, especially a good Catholic one! He admires himself, turning this way and that, tying his hair up in different ways. It's a relief, just for a little bit, to be able to express himself freely and relax.]

[He continues holding onto Poland's hand and then puts his free hand onto Poland's which he's already gripping with a gentle touch. A small warm smile is on his lips too when he looks at Poland.]

[Despite the casualness of it, he's honestly grateful. Chopin is loyal, and he can trust him. It's just such a novel idea, after centuries of his bosses and his best friend/love interest not getting it, that he... still has some questions.]
So, but like... If I wanted to go out like this, you wouldn't be all like, "oh my god, Poland, what are people gonna think about you, put some pants on" and stuff? Or, like... I know this outfit's ok, but what about other ones?
[Help, why is Chopin so sweet to him, how does he deal with it? His hand feels really warm, and he finds himself gently stroking the inside of the other man's palm.]

[He stands closer to Poland and continues his warm smiles at him. Although his eyes might be glossing over a little as if he's trying not to cry.]

[Honestly, he hasn't yet felt trapped here, because living under Russia's thumb, or Prussia's or Austria's, was so much worse for him. Having his culture stigmatized and his boss chosen by Russia, not having the freedom to act even in his own home-- it was worse than being here, without question. And Fryderyk saw, all his life, the way that hurt him. The grief of watching him struggle in vain is so clear in his songs, and still, hearing it in words touches him, moves his heart.]
[He's not sure if that's what's upsetting Fryderyk now, or if it's, like, the feelings thing, but he wants to make him feel better. That said, focusing on bad feelings is not his forte--he's much better at distraction.]
Hey, let's like, go for a walk! We can pick a Christmas tree, come on.
[A hint of his usual mischief sneaks back into his smile.]
A lady totally doesn't need to go walking around alone, right~?
no subject
[He gets down on one knee to bow before getting up again, his eyes now full of happiness as is his expression. He couldn't be happier right now.]
no subject
[Grinning, he offers Chopin his arm to be escorted properly.]
That's what I like to hear! We're gonna find the raddest tree--like, where's your coat?
no subject
It's right here. Let's be on our way.
[He then takes Poland's arms to escort him out to find a tree.]
no subject
Yeah, for sure, let's go! I want, like, the biggest tree we can fit in here.
no subject
I'll help out as best as possible. Though Feliks, may I ask something personal of you?

[Well... It can't hurt to try, right? Dinner does sound nice.]
...Sure. Sure, ok!
no subject
[Cue Frederic blushing and trying not be flustered. Although inwardly he's very happy.]
After our Christmas tree hunt, we could have the dinner? If you don't mind that is.
no subject
[This concern is apparently not enough to keep him from continuing to merrily drag Chopin towards the forest.]
'Kay, I could go for that.
no subject
[You continually embarrassing him isn't making this better though, Poland. But he takes out to the forest so they look for a Christmas tree.]
Hopefully we can find a small enough tree that will fit in the house.
